Groove-cutting takes place during installation, using a Lamello® type groove cutter at every point where boards are fastened to joists.

Groove dimensions and profile

Groove-cutting is simple and easy.
We recommend positioning it, where possible, at the centre of board edges.
The symmetrical profile ensures board reversibility and total freedom to select the optimum board face. Either the smooth or grooved side can be used or if the finishing on both sides is identical, the most attractive one.

Board reversibility: Position groove at the centre of the board edge. In this case: D = (A-C) / 2. For a board that is 21 mm thick: (21-4) / 2 = 8.5 mm. Ensure that screws are long enough to penetrate the joist.
