The spacer supplied with the ExtremeKD™ installation kit is used for installing curved boards.
When straightening a curved board, the rigid spacer inserted between the two boards prevents the spacer integrated into the fastener from being crushed. It also ensures that regular spacing is maintained between boards.
For easy straightening of bowed deck boards, we recommend the Hardwood Wrench™.
